  • Why should I publish with Caroling Pen?

    Caroling Pen is the online publishing platform in India. Our books are sold in more than 140 countries. we provide the same services that other publishers do with less packages.

  • What is the publishing process?

    Publishing with Caroling Pen is a simple process. Choose your package, submit your manuscript and get ready to view your masterpiece globally.

  • What is Guided Publishing?

    Get your own dedicated team of experts who will work on every aspect of your book. From positioning to designing, editing to book marketing, you can sit back and relax as our team of experts create the best version of your book. Talk to our publishing consultant, select a publishing package, and submit your book for publishing. A project manager will be immediately assigned to assist you during the publishing process. After submitting a book, an ISBN will be assigned and the manuscript will be sent for cover and book interior design. The entire process will be managed by Caroling Pen with frequent inputs from your end.

  • What on earth is an ISBN?

    ISBN stands for 'International Standard Book Number'. It's basically a 13 digit identification number that book sellers and libraries use to identify books, magazines, newspapers or other publications. A separate ISBN is assigned for Paperback, Hardcover and eBook versions of your book.

  • Who owns the rights to my book?

    You retain all the rights to your book! We exist to help you reach the market via our distribution partners and act as a publishing label. We work with a non-exclusive publishing agreement meaning, we don't own any of your content and you can even publish it elsewhere if you wish.

  • How do I set the selling price of my book?

    The selling price of a book is dependent on its production cost. The Calculate Author Earnings feature on the Caroling Pen website helps you know the production cost of your book based on its page extent, size and format. With this you can set the retail price of your book and ascertain the earnings that you would receive.

  • How many copies of my book will you print?

    Notion Press offers managed inventory services. Stay in stock and never worry about paying for additional print runs of your book. Print more, sell more. It’s all covered.

  • How many books will I sell?

    Some authors sell one or two copies, some sell thousands. All our channels should be treated as distribution platforms, not sales platforms. Your book may be available via all our distribution partners, but in order to sell copies you should consider ways to promote or market it. This may be as simple as creating a blog or contacting people to review and write about your book. With a concerted effort, a good book can become a great seller!

  • Can I track how many books I've sold?

    You can track the sales of your book on your author dashboard. You can also see your earnings, track pay out and order copies of your book at a subsidised price.

  • Will I receive post publishing support?

    At Caroling Pen, we strive to keep all our authors completely satisfied with our services. You will receive support from our Author Support Team for all your post publishing queries over e-mail or phone, as applicable.

  • Where can I find good images to create my own cover design?

    It’s very important to source copyright-free images to create the cover of the book. If you’re looking for free sources of copyright-free images you can try a Google Image search with the filter ‘Labelled for reuse with modification’ turned on or sites like pexels.com, unsplash.com, pixabay.com and stocksnap.io. But make sure you check the licensing of each photo. You may be required to attribute the source in your book.
